Amos J. Glass

Amos J. Glass 53 of Bedford St., Bedford, died Thursday, July 10, 2008 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital. He was born May 10, 1955 in Altoona, son of the late Pat (Soders) Park. On November 11, 1989 in Leechburg, he married Nadine Getty and she survives along with two children: Margaret Maggie and Amos Raymond both at home, one sister Peggy wife of Richard Irvin and a nephew Richard Irvin both of Newport News, VA.
Amos was affiliated with St. Thomas Catholic Church in Bedford. He owned and operated Amos’s Maintenance Service for the past 20 years. He was past president of Bedford County Players, vice president of Bedford Band Boosters, AYSO soccer referee and coach. He was the Elks Citizen of the Year in 1997. He volunteered with American Red Cross and was a former Red Cross disaster chairman.
Memorial service: Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at 8:00 PM in the Chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford with Father Donald Dusza officiating. Interment at Bedford County Memorial Park.
