Alice A. Winegardner, 83, of Manns Choice, died on Saturday, November 29, 2025 at her residence. She was born on May 15, 1942 in Johnstown, a daughter of the late Rowland G. and Anne (Updegraff) Bostock. On June 22, 1963 in Rummel, she married Larry “Buck” Winegardner and he survives after 62 years of marriage along with three children: Karen L. Martin and husband David of Berlin, Connie S. Will and husband Patrick of New Baltimore, and Steve W. Winegardner and companion Amber of Schellsburg; ten grandchildren: Louis Martin widower of Kristin, William Martin, Sarah Martin, Timothy Martin and wife Ariel, Krista Beegle and husband Luke, Ryan and Alyssa Will, Bradley Winegardner and wife Alexandra, Kyle Winegardner and wife Hannah, and Leah Winegardner; nine great-grandchildren with three on the way; and a brother; Rowland Bostock and wife Ellen of Jeanette. She was preceded in death by a brother, Amos Bostock widow Rose Ann who survives of Johnstown.
Alice was a 1961 graduate of Windber high school and an active member of Helixville Church. She enjoyed reading her bible every morning with a cup of tea. She also enjoyed shopping, going out to eat, doing word search puzzles, and reading novels.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford with Rev. Clyde Lasure officiating. Burial will be private. Friends will be received on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 from 5 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home and on Thursday one hour prior to the service.
