Alice Ramona (Berkey) Nave

Alice Ramona Nave, 91, of Centerville, died on Friday, January 17, 2025 at UPMC Western Maryland. She was born on January 16, 1934 in Osterburg, a daughter of the late Blair and Orletta (Ake) Berkey. On June 16, 1984 in Centerville, she married Lloyd R. Nave who preceded her in death on September 24, 2010. She is survived along with the following family a daughter, Michelle Brown and husband Ronald of Marion, SC; a son, Craig S. Carter and husband Domenic of   Rancho Mirage, CA; a step-son, Ronald L. Nave of Horsham, one granddaughter, Ellen Bacon and husband Darren; three great grandchildren: Nathan, Amellia, and Peter; one brother, Ray Berkey of Osterburg. She was preceded in death by an infant brother.

She was a member of the Centerville United Methodist Church and served in the United States Air Force. She worked as a secretary for various places in the area that included Blackburn Russell Company, Bedford Grange Mutual Insurance Company, Bedford Grange No. 619, Alumni Assoc. of Schellsburg Napier High School. She enjoyed reading and being outdoors and tirelessly helping others in need. She also gave back to her local community by providing Meals on Wheels for many years, offering companionship and assistance.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 11 :00 am in the Chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford, with Jim Miller officiating. Burial at Union Cemetery. Friends will be received on Saturday, from 10 am until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
