Albert L. Lewis

February 13, 1917 — June 27, 2000

Albert Leon Lewis 82 of  Rainsburg formerly of Bethesda Md. and Kingman Az., died Tuesday June 27, 2000 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.  He was born February 13, 1917 in Keedysville, Md. son of the late Harry Edward and Lola Lavetta (Butts) Lewis. He was preceded in death by his first wife Betty in 1964 and his second wife Juanita in 1977.  He is survived by a son Martin Edward Lewis of Atlanta, Ga., two sisters Evelyn Howsare of Everett, Margaret Bowers of Frederick, Md., three grandchildren and 13 nieces and nephews.

Mr. Lewis was a World War II Army Veteran who had served in both the European and Pacific Theaters.  He was a retired air conditioning technician for Glen L. Martin Corp.

Funeral Services: Thursday 1:00 PM from the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford, Pa. with the Rev. Fred Howsare officiating.  Burial in the Mountain View Cemetery in Sharpsburg, Maryland.  Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Funeral Home.
