Agnes V. Payne

Agnes V. Payne 80 of Arandale Street Bedford, died Thursday, August 2, 2001 at Altoona Hospital.  She was born March 30, 1921 in Clairton. Daughter of the late Carl F. and Agnes (Brown) Voelkel.  On June 25 1958 in Miami Beach Florida she married John W. Payne and he survives along with two children:   Sherry wife of Elbridge Terry of Williamsburg Va., John “Jack” Payne married to the former Sharon LeCrone of Bedford.  3 grandchildren: Elder J.C. Windham currently serving in the Brazil Salvador Mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and Keirstyn and Bailey Payne of Bedford. Two sisters:  Mae V. Johnson of Vienna, Va. and Eva wife of Andrew Patton of Mannsfield, OH. She was preceded in death by three brothers Carl F., John B.,  Paul V. Voelkel.

Mrs. Payne was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  Funeral Services Friday 8:00 P.M.  from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints of Bedford with Branch President Lennie Gates officiating.  Burial at the Lebanon Church Cemetery near Pittsburgh.  Friends will be received Friday from 2-4 at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home Bedford and at the church form 7:00 P.M. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Laurel Mountains Chapter, 1011 Old Road, Greensburg, Pa. 15601 or the Bedford County Humane Society, 1108 Lutzville Rd.
