Agnes R. Brantner

Agnes R. Brantner 85 of S. Richard St., Bedford, died Tuesday, January 23, 2007 at Pennknoll Village.  She was born July 15, 1921 in Cumberland Valley TWP, daughter of the late John Sherman and Etta Pearl (Growden) Hite.  She was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul F. Stiffler on May 18, 1978 and her second husband Ross W. Brantner on December 2, 1997.  She is survived by six children: Nancy L. Bush of Manns Choice, Dorothy wife of Charles Werner of Schellsburg, Charles R. Stiffler married to the former Jane Foor, Steven P. Stiffler married to the former Sharon Cessna both of Bedford, Wesley E. Stiffler married to the former Vicki Foor of Clearville and Tony C. Stiffler married to the former Kathy Lockard of Ripton, Vermont, seven step-children: Sharon wife of Corrin Colledge of Breezewood, Linda wife of Phillip Foor of Everett, Larry Brantner and wife Debbie of Breezewood, Dianna wife of Ray Dunkle of Breezewood, Joan wife of Terry Fetters of Breezewood, Becky Johnson of Asheboro, NC and Brenda wife of Jeff Robinson of Fredricksburg, VA, 17 grandchildren and  20 great grandchildren, and a sister Dorothy G. wife of David Robert Clapper of Bedford.  She was preceded in death by a daughter Ida Pearl Stiffler a son John G. Stiffler and a 3 sisters  Jane wife of David Tew of Bedford, Betsy Whetstone, and Eleanor Howsare.  4 brothers, Joseph Hite, husband of Barbara of Windber, , Wesley Hite husband of Jeanne of Baltimore, Alvin and Eugene Hite.  She was a member of the Bedford Christian and Missionary Alliance Church.

Funeral services: Friday 2:00 PM from the Bedford Christian and Missionary Alliance Church with Rev. James E. Haddon and Rev. Donald Simpson officiating.  Burial at the Trinity Reform Church Cemetery in Friends Cove.  Friends will be received on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Timothy A.
