Adalene Diehl

Adalene Diehl, 79 of Main Road, Bedford, died Friday, June 11, 2010 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.   She was born on April 22, 1931 in Buffalo Mills, a daughter of the late Frank and Myrtle (Clites) Diehl.  One March 24, 1950 in Manns Choice, she married David W. Diehl and he survives along with the following family, three daughters; Eyvonne A. wife of Jay E. Shaffer of Somerset, Donna J. wife of Bill Prater of Culpeper, VA, Jenny L. wife of Jeffrey Ciocco of Walkersville, MD and a son Lt. Col. Ret. Gregory D. Diehl and wife Pam of Somerville, SC, eight grandchildren; Alisa and Adam Shaffer, Melissa Bentley, Tricia Todd, Matthew Diehl, April Marr, Sam and Gina Ciocco, three great grandchildren; Logan and Cassie Bentley and Devon Todd, a sister Florence Sams of Mann Choice and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by three brothers; Harold Diehl, husband of Rhea of Bedford, Elwood Diehl and Alvie Diehl, husband of Fay Diehl of Manns Choice.

Mrs. Diehl was a member of the Friends Cove UCC Church and had worked as a home health aid for 20 years.  She loved to play cards, cook, do puzzles and go out to eat with friends.

Funeral Services: Monday, June 14, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. from the Friends Cove UCC Church with Rev. Jay E. Shaffer officiating.  Burial in the Church Cemetery.  Friends will be received on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Timothy A.
