Abraham Mittelmark 82 of Forbes Road, Bedford, died Tuesday, September 30, 2008 at Altoona Regional Hospital. He was born September 26, 1926, in New York City, son of the late Joseph and Minnie (Weintraub) Mittelmark. On April 6, 1985 in Califon, NJ he married Anita Vanacore and she survives along with three daughters: Margo Miller of Spring Valley, CA, Allison Dehmcke of Bedford and June Mittelmark of Manchester, NH, six grandchildren: Richard and Cory Morgan, Collin and Bryan Dehmcke, Aaron and Sam Katchen, a brother Mel Mittelmark of Minneapolis, MN and sister Edith Cohen of Las Vegas, NV. He was preceded in death by a sister Dottie.
He was a self-employed artist and writer.
Graveside services: Friday, October 3, 2008 at 11:00 AM from Bedford County Memorial Park with Cantor Michael Horwitz officiating. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make contributions to the Fort Bedford Honor Guard, c/o Pete Innes, 205 Red Oak Road, New Paris, PA 15554 in his memory. Arrangements by Timothy A.
