Vida H. Morgart, 95, of Friends Cove, died Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Pennknoll Village Nursing Home.  She was born on December 24, 1921, in Breezewood, a daughter of the late Jerome Dwight and Anna Maria (Metz) Foor.  On October 2, 1937 in Cumberland, MD, she married Charles R. “Bussie” Morgart and he preceded her in death on January 5, 1998.  She is survived by a daughter, Hilda Morgart, of Bedford, three grandchildren: Jamie Stailey and wife Gabriel, of Egg Harbor, NJ, Charlie Stailey, and Melissa Stailey, both of Bedford; two great-grandchildren: Benjamin and Julia of Egg Harbor, NJ, and a sister, Irma Cicon widow of Michael, of Wyoming, PA.  She was preceded in death by two brothers: Jerome and Ronald Foor, and four sisters: Flora Morgart, Velma Harclerode, Irene Giffin, and Gussie Price.

Vida was a member of the Everett Church of God, and retired from JC Penney.  She read her Bible every day, until she was no longer able.  In Vida’s life she couldn’t ever remember a time when she was angry with anyone.  She was an excellent seamstress who made clothes for herself and her sister Gussie, she also knitted, crocheted, and made crafts with her daughter.  She was still active at 85 years old pulling weeds in her garden, harvesting produce, and earlier in life grew her own African Violets.  Most of all she loved her family, and grandchildren, and will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 19, 2017, at 10:00 a.m., in the Chapel, at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Rev. Gary Sams, officiating.  Burial at Bedford County Memorial Park.  Friends will be received on Thursday, from 6-8 p.m., at the funeral home.
