Theodore J. Kagarise, 76, of Everett, died on Thursday, on February 21, 2019, at his residence surrounded by his family and caregivers. He was born on November 5, 1942, in New Enterprise, a son of the late Bruce and Elizabeth (Fink) Kagarise. On July 21, 1962, in Altoona, he married Barbara Jane (Wear) Kagarise who preceded him in death on October 18, 2018. He is survived by a daughter, Kelly S. Houseman widow of Raymond, of Altoona, a son, Gregory A. Kagarise and wife Brenda, of Everett; three grandchildren: Robbie Houseman, Brittney Kagarise, and Ronnie Kagarise and wife Sharon; four great-grandchildren: Maggie-Lee, Colton, Landon, and Nolan. Two sisters; Donna Staub widow of Dean, of Louisville, KY, and Carol Albright and husband Dennis, of Claysburg, and one brother, Fred Kagarise and wife Carol, of Roaring Spring. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Kagarise widower Bette who survives of Osterburg.
Theodore was a member of the St. Thomas Catholic Church. He worked at Standard Register for 30 years until their closing. He then worked for Creative Pultrusions and retired from there in 2005. He also drove truck part time for Smith Transport and Bedford Valley Petroleum.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 26, 2019, at 11:00 a.m., at the St. Thomas Catholic Church, in Bedford, with Father Richard Tomkosky Celebrant. Burial at Everett Cemetery. Friends will be received on Tuesday, from 9:30 - 10:45 a.m. at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford.
