Sharon Garrett, 65, of Manns Choice, died on Monday, June 17, 2019 at her residence. She was born on November 26, 1953, in Allentown, a daughter of Paul Weiss Jr. of Bedford and the late Jean E. (Buchman) Weiss. She was preceded in death by her husband Michael Garrett. She is survived by the following family: a sister, Debra Alejnikov and husband Robert of Downingtown, a brother, Paul Weiss III of Bedford, a brother, Clinton Weiss of Cresco, and a sister, Carolyn Rosage of Bedford; five nieces and nephews: Robert Paul Alejnikov Jr. and partner Stacey Mescall of Landover, MD, Christin Carroll and husband Steve of Atlanta, GA, Cindy Cordes and husband Christopher of Virginia, Sandy Bachlor and husband Jeremy of Tennessee, Megan Rosage and friend Jonathan Zinn of West Virginia; nine great nieces and nephews and one on the way.
Sharon graduated high school from Phoenixville Votech in 1972. She worked for Abbot Pharmaceutical for 10 years and then obtained her CDL’s and drove truck for Ryder. She was a member and helped out at the Schellsburg VFW. She was very active with the Fort Bedford CB Club and always helped out with the Christmas for Kids program.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 24, 2019, at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel, at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Jim Miller officiating. Friends will be received on Monday, from 10 -11 a.m. at the funeral home.
