Sally L. (Ullom) Easter

Sally L. Easter 78, of Everett, died Sunday, March 25, 2018 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.  She was born on July 5, 1939 in Canton, OH a daughter of the late Howard and Valery (Hook) Ullom.  On June 29, 1957 in Canton, OH she married Clair Easter, her husband of 60 years, who survives along with the following family: a son, Timothy Easter and wife Vicky, of Bedford, a daughter, Sharon DeWeese and husband Dave, of Holly Hill, FL a son, Dwayne Easter and wife Zana, of Carlisle, a son, Troy Easter and special friend Lisa, of Listie, a daughter, Wendy Elliott and husband Kelly, of Bedford, and a son, Kevin Easter and wife Camilla, of Bedford; thirteen grandchildren: Karee, Katelyn, Melissa, Amber, Robert, Joseph, Alec, Jenna, Jessica, Derrick, Jacob, Samantha, and Kree; four great-grandchildren: Aaliyah, Trevin, Finn, and Dwayne; and a sister, Phyllis Hummel and husband Bob, of Leesburg, FL.  She was preceded in death by an infant daughter Casey Jo Easter, and a sister Charlotte Diehl, widower Jack surviving of Canton, OH.

Sally was a 1957 graduate of Lincoln High School.  She worked at many different places over the years including: Bedford Spring Hotel, Bedford Memorial Hospital, Dr. Askey’s office, Ed’s Steakhouse, and in the cafeteria at Bedford High School.  She was a member of the St. Thomas Catholic Church and enjoyed reading, traveling, shopping, and was an excellent cook.  Her family and children were the most important part of her life, and she was a wonderful wife.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at 10:00 a.m., at the St. Thomas Catholic Church, in Bedford, with Father Richard Tomkosky Celebrant.  Burial at St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery.  Friends will be received on Tuesday, from 4-7 p.m., at the Timothy A.
