Ruth E. Clark 81, of Rainsburg, died Monday, July 3, 2017 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.  She was born on May 22, 1936 in Bedford, one of nine children, of Harry S. and Margaret Marie (Donahoe) Heming.  On July 5, 1957 in Bedford, she married William R. Clark who preceded her in death on October 29, 1982.  She is survived by three sons: Daniel L. Clark and wife Ginger, of Oakland, MD, David W. Clark and wife Natasha, of Elizabethtown, and Dennis J. Clark, of Schellsburg; a grandson, Specialist Andrew K. Clark, stationed in Hawaii; and two brothers: George Heming and wife Linda, of Phoenixville, and Harry Ed Heming and wife Norma Jean, of Bedford.  She was preceded in death by six siblings: Magdalen “Dena” Imler, Dorothy Claycomb, Francis “Red” Heming, Hazel Worzalla, Anna Zdon, and Richard Heming.

Ruth was a 1954 graduate of Bedford High School, and while in high school, worked as a dental assistant under Dr. Brightbill on Juliana Street.  She then worked at the former Bedford Springs Hotel as a waitress, and worked at Bedford Memorial Hospital from 1988 until her retirement in 1996.  Ruth had many hobbies including: bowling, cards, dominoes, ceramics, and playing on the woman’s softball team. She also enjoyed tending her flower beds, and taking care of her son Dennis.  She was a member of the St. Thomas Catholic Church, in Bedford.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, July 7, 2017 at 10:00 a.m., at the St. Thomas Catholic Church, in Bedford, with Father Richard Tomkosky Celebrant.  Burial at Bedford County Memorial Park.  Friends will be received on Thursday, from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., at the Timothy A.
