Patricia A. Kipp 80, of Schellsburg, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 with her husband and sister-in-law by her side. She was born on June 29, 1939 in New Paris, a daughter of the late Preston and Gladys (Adkins) Blackburn. On May 28, 1959 in Cumberland, MD, she married Bernard Kipp who survives along with two sons: Bernie Kipp and wife Penny, of McConnellsburg, and Ward Kipp and wife Claudia, of Simsbury, CT; four grandchildren: Justin Kipp and wife Dana, of Clearville, Jason Kipp and wife Whittney, of McConnellsburg, Christina and Nicholas Costa, of Simsbury; and five great-grandchildren: Madisyn, Graycie, Camryn, Carsyn, and Jaylee Kipp. She was preceded in death by three sisters: Ruth Harbaugh, Violet Wentz, and Louise Taylor, and a brother, Ben Blackburn widow Alice, surviving of Schellsburg.
Patricia worked as an apple packer for Wrights Orchard and Ridgetop Orchards, and was a member of the Clear Creek Brethren in Christ Church. She and her husband enjoyed singing duets on the Everett radio station WSKE, and in their church, and attending antique car parades. Most of all she loved her family deeply, and enjoyed being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Rev. John Geyer officiating. Burial at Bedford County Memorial Park. Friends will be received on Friday from 6-8 p.m., at the funeral home, and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
