Mildred V. Stanko, 99, of Bedford, died on September 6, 2018, at Pennknoll Village Nursing Home. She was born on February 13, 1919, in Bedford, a daughter of the late John A. and Goldie M. (Beegle) Clark. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Cuppett in 1963 and her second husband John Stanko in 1983. She is survived by a daughter: Norma Ickes, of Harrisburg; two grandsons, Sheldon D. Ickes and wife Vera, of Apollo Beach, FL, and Samuel B. Ickes and wife Leah, of York; two great-grandchildren: Robert and Marlie; one brother John A. Clark Jr. of Coplay; and a sister Norma J. Baker, of Bedford. She was preceded in death by four brothers: George, Edmund, Paul, and James Clark; one sister Geraldine McGuinn and two infant sisters Dorothy Mae and Martha Mae.
Mildred was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Bedford, and worked for the Hedstrom Corporation. She was a member of the Women of the Moose, Bedford Grange, and DAR. Services and burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
