Kenneth E. “Ken” Brown Sr., 66 of Dillsburg, formerly of Schellsburg, died Thursday, April 6, 2017. He was born on July 30, 1950, in Claysburg, a son of the late David H. and Becky (Burket) Brown. On May 10, 1974, in Winchester, VA, he married Joy (Rose) Brown who survives along with the following family: three sons, Kenneth E. Brown Jr., of Dillsburg, Charles D. Brown, of Bedford, Keith J. Brown and wife Rebecca, of Etters; a daughter, Amy L. Lightner and husband Jay D. of Dillsburg; 11 grandchildren:  Katie, Zowie, Taylor, Rebecca, David, Charles Jr., Jordan, Malissa, Alexcis, Skyler, and Bryanna;  four sisters, Mary M. Miller and husband H. John of Buffalo Mills, Helen M. Robertson and husband Fred L., of Buffalo Mills, Anna M. Fletcher and husband Philip L., of Las Vegas, NV, Eleanor J. Davis and husband Carl W., of Bedford; two brothers, Merle R. Brown of Buffalo Mills, Paul E. Brown and wife Anita M., of Imler; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by two brothers, John H. Brown, and Norman E. Brown widow Mary J., who survives of Imler, three sisters, Aldene Brown, Jennie I. Fletcher, and Arlene L. Diehl widow William, who survives of Everett; three nephews Gary, Kevin, and Travis, one niece,  Nicole D. Ulrich.

Ken attended Chestnut Ridge High School. He worked at Hedstrom for 17 years and then retired form Cannondale after 13 years.  His hobby was fixing small engines in Dillsburg.  He enjoyed watching wrestling, Nascar and also liked to hunt.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2017, at 2:00 p.m., in the Chapel, at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford with Rev. H. John Miller officiating.  Burial at Schellsburg Cemetery.  Friends will be received on Friday, from 6 - 9 p.m. Those wishing can make memorial contributions in Ken’s name to Hospice of Central PA, 1320 Linglestown, Rd., Harrisburg, PA 17110.
