Karen L. Jasper, 59, of Bedford, died Thursday, August 2, 2018 at UPMC Montefiore in Pittsburgh. She was born on July 8, 1959 in Wurzburg, Germany a daughter of Gerald J. McCammon, of Bridgewater, VA and Peggy (Barr) McCammon-Ritchey and husband Joel, of Bedford. In addition to her parents she is survived by five daughters: Liese Heilman and husband Steven, of Fort Bragg, NC, Maggie Hess, of Lake Village, AR, Kylee Hess, of Erie, Serena Hess, of Fort Worth, TX, and Abagail Jasper, of Bedford; a son Michael Jasper, of Bedford; a grandson, Gabriel Hess; and a sister, Deborah McCammon, of Stuarts Draft, VA. She was preceded in death by a brother Buddy McCammon and husband, Michael.
Karen graduated from Chestnut Ridge High School in 1977, and received her Masters of Physical Therapy from West Virginia University. She owned and operated Partners in Rehab, and enjoyed the outdoors, spending time with her friends, and her time spent in Maine. She also volunteered for mission trips in Haiti and Puerto Rico. Most of all she loved spending time with her children and grandson and family.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Rev. Dr. David Meckley officiating. Burial will be private. Friends will be received on Monday, from 4-8 p.m., at the funeral home, and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
