Karen Crawford, 53, of Alum Bank, died on December 23, 2018 at her residence, surrounded by her family. She was born on November 16, 1965, in Roaring Spring, a daughter of Ernest Davis and wife Sharon of Alum Bank and the late Joyce (Nave) Davis. On October 21, 1983 in Fishertown, she married James Crawford who survives along with the following family, three daughters: Tabatha Smith and husband Ben, of Anchorage, AK, Tessa Miller and husband Eugene, of Schellsburg, and Tesha Holderbaum and husband Kavan, of Imler; seven grandchildren: Logan, Audrey, and Sadie Smith, Austyn, Aidyn, and Ashtyn Miller, and Wesley Holderbaum; two brothers, Kevin Davis and wife Janice, of Alum Bank, Kelly Davis and wife Adena, of Alum Bank; one sister, Krista Sprigg and husband Dale, of Alum Bank; and a special aunt and uncle, Ted and Lisa Mock, of Alum Bank. She was preceded in death by a special nephew, Ben Mock.
Karen was an active member of the Ryot Church of the Nazarene, where she led the youth group and was the children’s ministries teacher. She worked for JLG Industries for 25 years and 6 years for Lockheed Martin as a business analyst. She enjoyed camping at Treasure Lake with family, putting together puzzles, canning, baking cakes and spending time with her grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at 11:00 a.m., at the Ryot Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Kevin Davis officiating. Burial will be private. Friends will be received on Wednesday, from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. at the Ryot Church of the Nazarene and on Thursday, one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements by the Timothy A.
