Julia C. May

Julia C. May, 62, of Bedford, died on November 5, 2018 at her residence. She was born on July 27, 1956, in Bandung, Indonesia, a daughter of the late F.X.  Hartanto and Suciati. On November 16, 2011, in Plainsboro, NJ, she married Jeffrey May who survives along with the following family: a step-son, Stephen May, of Bedford; three brothers, Herman Suwardie, of Plainsboro, NJ, Benny Hartanto, of Bandung, Indonesia and Teddy Sumardi of Bandung, Indonesia. Four nieces: Winny, Julie, Anita, and Cynthia.  She was preceded in death by two brothers: Thomas Deddy Sumardi, and Johanes H. Hartanto.

Julia was a member of the St. John's Evangelist Catholic Church, in Everett. She grew up in Indonesia, and worked for Yamaha Music Company in their accounting department. After moving to New Jersey she worked in childcare.  Julia enjoyed arts and crafts, decorating, nature animals, and gardening.

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel, at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Father Derek Fairman officiating.
