Jackson E. ‘Jack’ Bussard 86, of Chambersburg, formerly of Everett, died on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Mennohaven in Chambersburg. He was born on May 18, 1931 in Everett, a son of the late Roy and Blanche (Gordon) Bussard. On April 2, 1989 in Everett, he married Janet (Oster) Bussard, who survives along with two step-sons: Douglas Bussard and wife Leann, of Bedford, and Trevis Bussard, of Chambersburg. He was preceded in death by his first wife Dorothy Cessna Bussard and three brothers: Donald, Reginald, and Roy Bussard Jr.
Jack was a graduate of Everett Area High School, and retired in 1991 as Vice-President of First National Bank of Everett. He served in the Army National Guard, and was a member of the Everett Lodge #524 F&AM, for 59 years. Jack was a member of the First Christian Church in Everett, and enjoyed golfing, bowling, and following auto racing.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 10, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel, at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Rev. Robert Robertson officiating. Burial will be private. Friends will be received on Friday, from 9:30 a.m., until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
