Helen G. Telmanik 95, of Bedford, died Wednesday, November 01, 2017 at Pennknoll Village Nursing Home.  She was born on June 19, 1922 in Osterburg, a daughter of the late Della (Stambaugh) Price.  On October 31, 1942 in Bedford, she married Michael S. Telmanik Sr. who preceded her in death on May 22, 1983.  She is survived by the following family: a son Michael Telmanik of Bedford, a daughter Sandra Fink and husband William of Hopewell, and a daughter Susan Schwartz and husband Fred, of Lewisburg; six grandchildren: Natalie and Miranda Telmanik, William Fink and wife Katie, James Fink and wife Christine, Timothy Fink and wife Crystal, and Rusty Schwartz; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.  She was preceded in death by four sisters: Bessie Stuff, Savilla Morris, Amy Harbaugh, and Viola Bagley; and a brother, Walter Price.

Helen was a 1940 graduate of Bedford High School.  She then went to work for Washington Bakery and the Dollar General, retiring in 1984.  She was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church, the Ladies Guild, and helped serve dinners at the St. Thomas Catholic School Hall. Helen was a life member of the Bedford Senior Citizens Center, and enjoyed taking bus trips with them, playing bingo and her card club on Saturday evenings.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 10:00 a.m., at the St. Thomas Catholic Church in Bedford, with Father Richard Tomkosky Celebrant.  Burial at St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements by the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford.  In lieu of flowers those wishing may make memorial contributions in Helen’s name to: St. Thomas Catholic Church, 215 E.
