Eleanor R. Berggren, 100, of Everett, died on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at her residence. She was born on March 26, 1918, in Wilson, a daughter of the late William and Bella (Gasser) Felicetty. On June 18, 1939, in Clairton, she married John E. Berggren who preceded her in death on July 5, 2011. She is survived by the following family: five daughters, Eleanor Denz, of Whiting, NJ, Ruth Chiappetta and husband Donald, of Holland, Judith Carovillano and husband Michael, of Del Ray Beach, FL, Janet Berggren, of Bedford, Patricia Pearce and husband Louis, of Bedford, one son, Thomas, married to the former Sandra Speicher, of South Park; 22 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; three sisters, Alice Cochenour, of McKeesport, Mary Helen Truskowski, and husband Frank, of Lebanon, TN, Carol Thornton and husband Edward, of Monongahela; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son: William Albert Berggren; one daughter: Mary Rose Thornton; two sisters: Ruth and Isabelle Harris; six brothers: Theodore Felicetty wife Joan who survives of Saint Cloud, FL, Daniel, Joseph, Albert, William, and James Felicetty.
Eleanor was a member of the St. Thomas Catholic Church. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and great-great grandmother and will be greatly missed by all her family. She enjoyed reading and was a member of the Priscella Guild and Alter and Rosary Society at St. Paulinus of Clairton. “What we once enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2018, at 10:00 a.m., at the St. Thomas Catholic Church, in Bedford, with Father Richard Tomkosky Celebrant. Burial will be held on Friday at 12:00 p.m. at West Newton Cemetery, in West Newton. Friends will be received on Wednesday, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford.
