Daniel G. Walker

Daniel G. Walker 77, of Schellsburg, died Monday, July 23, 2018 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.  He was born on May 21, 1941 in Washington, DC a son of the late Daniel and Eleanor (America) Walker.  He was previously married to Becky Walker, of San Antonio, TX, and preceded in death by his fiancée Norma (Price) Yates of Waldorf, MD. 

 Dan was an Operating Engineer at the U.S. Senate Office for many years.  He also worked for a home improvement and landscaping business in Maryland before moving to Bedford in 2014.  Dan attended the Time Ministries Church in Cessna where he made many friends which he considered his family.  He enjoyed the monthly Men’s Prayer Breakfast, and loved praising and worshiping the Lord.  Dan enjoyed joking and laughing with anyone he met and will be dearly missed.  He is dancing the streets of gold with “Every Praise” to the Lord.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Pastor Dan Stultz officiating.  Burial at Cuppett Cemetery, in New Paris.  Friends will be received on Wednesday, from 10:00 a.m., until the hour of the service at the funeral home.  Our online guestbook is available at www.berkebilefuneralhome.com
