Clistie Y. (Sprouse) Swartz

Clistie Y. Swartz 80, of Bedford, died Monday, October 7, 2019 at UPMC Shadyside Hospital.  She was born on October 3, 1939 in Logan, WV a daughter of the late Henry Sprouse and Bessie L. (Milam) McRoberts.  On October 14, 1957 in Bedford Valley she married Robert E. Swartz who preceded her in death on February 15, 2009. She is survived by three sons: Allen Dwayne Swartz married to the former Chery Rock, of Waynesboro, Jeff Swartz married to the former Linda Palmer, of Bedford, and Kevin Swartz married to the former Angie Hixson, of Bedford; six grandchildren: Serena, Kyla, Daniel, Jesse, Bradley, and Rachel; six great-grandchildren: Quentin, Lanie, Allie, Devin, Bexley, and Gannon; a sister Carole Hite and husband David, of Bedford; and close friend, Linda Hinkle.  She was preceded in death by a brother Eugene Sprouse.

Clistie was a member of the Manns Choice Church of God.  She was a dedicated Christian, who enjoyed singing, putting together puzzles, and visiting with her grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 11, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Pastor Aaron Whetstone officiating.  Burial at Bedford County Memorial Park.  Friends will be received on Thursday, from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home, and one hour prior to the service on Friday.  Our online guestbook is available at www.berkebilefuneralhome.com.
