C. Thomas Weaverling, 84, of Bedford, died on Friday, July 12, 2019 at his residence. He was born on November 14, 1934, in Bedford, a son of the late Charles E. and Goldie P. (Mowry) Weaverling. On October 17, 1959, in Winchester, VA, he married Margaret "Peggy" (Cessna) Weaverling who survives along with the following family: three sons, Randall T. Weaverling and wife Christie of Everett, Timothy C. Weaverling and wife Bobbi of Bedford, and Thomas C. Weaverling and wife Michele of Darnestown, MD; three grandchildren: Chase, James, and Maren Weaverling; one sister, Dorothy Nave widow of Roger of Everett.
Thomas was self-employed and worked with his father as a carpenter building many homes in Bedford County. He enjoyed hunting, playing in softball and baseball leagues, and was a Boston Red Sox fan. Tom won the national championship in small bore competition.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 15, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel, at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Rev. Paul Claycomb officiating. Friends will be received on Sunday, from 2-6 p.m., at the funeral home, and one hour prior to the service on Monday. Burial will be private.
