Carol A. (Brown) Cessna

Carol A. (Brown) Cessna, 74, of Osterburg, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at 9:45 AM at home. She was born on June 12, 1949, in Imler, PA, a daughter of the late Bruce and Katherine (Marshall) Brown. On September 26, 1983, she was united in marriage to Donald Cessna. Along with her husband, she is survived by her children: Scott Cessna, and girlfriend Chloe Horst, of Brandywine, WV; Misty Claar, and husband Matthew, of Alum Bank; and step-son: Jeremy Cessna, and wife Lisa, of Osterburg; is also survived by her grandchildren: Alyssa, Bristol, Aubrey, Tristan, Jonah, and Lily; and siblings, Janet Rogers, Bruce Brown, and William Brown. Carol was proceeded in death by her parents; sister, Phyllis (Joan) Brown; and brother, Charles Brown.

Carol was a 1967 graduate of Chestnut Ridge High School. She worked at Bestform and Cannondale before becoming a homemaker and stay-at-home mother. She loved caring for her flowers and gardening, reading, and sewing, but her greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, and “Grandma”.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024 at 11:00 a.m., at the Woods Church, in Rainsburg, with Pastor Kevin Davis officiating.  Burial at Woods Church Cemetery.  Friends will be received on Thursday, from 5-7 p.m. at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford.  Interment will be held at the Woods Church in Rainsburg with Pastor Kevin Davis officiating.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Family Hospice, 20 Sheraton Dr, Altoona, PA 16601.  Our online guestbook is available at www.berkebilefuneralhome.com.
