Sandra E. Ritchey, 72 of Osterburg, died Wednesday, October 5, 2016 surrounded by her family.  She was born on July 15, 1944 in Bedford, a daughter of the late E. Russell and Margaret E. (Barefoot) Weyant.  On March 7, 1967 in Winchester, VA she married Robert L. Ritchey who preceded her in death on March 5, 2003.  She is survived by two daughters: LeAnn Miller and fiancé Landis McCormick, and Christine wife of Joseph E. Fink Jr., both of Bedford; and a son, Bradley Ritchey, and fiancée Sherry Smith of Everett; eleven grandchildren: Amanda, Brittney wife of Ben, Derik, Ty, Serenity, Tiffany, Kylie, Erica, Angelica, Keenan and Kyler; four great-grandchildren: Hunter, Kelson, Declan, and Brantley; and a sister, Joyce Burket, of Bedford.  She was preceded in death by an infant son, Timothy, and three brothers: Otis, Dallas, and Lowell Weyant. 

Sandy was a member of the Crossroads Bible Church, where she enjoyed singing in the choir.  She worked at Pennknoll Village Nursing Home for over 20 years, and also worked for Rowsers Foster Care, and First Choice Home Care.  Sandy was a wonderful mother and grandmother, and will be deeply missed by all.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel, at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Rev. Mark Dillow officiating.  Burial at Bedford County Memorial Park.  Friends will be received on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at the funeral home, and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.  Our online guestbook is available at www.berkebilefuneralhome.com
