Robert A. Fletcher 79, of Bedford died Thursday, June 23, 2016.  He was born on July 22, 1936 in Bedford, a son of the late William A. and Cora (Bingham) Fletcher.  On September 14, 1956 he married Evelyn F. “Tim” (O’Brien) Fletcher who preceded him in death on December 22, 2012.  He is survived by the following family: five sons: Robert Fletcher, of Fort Meyers, FL, Jeffrey Fletcher, and wife Patricia of Fort Meyers, FL, Sidney Fletcher, of Negley, OH, , and Joel Fletcher, of State College; William Fletcher, and wife Devi, of Everett, a daughter, Joy, wife of Clifford Ruff, of Negley, OH, three sisters: Fran Stankan wife of James of Virginia, Gay Wilson, wife of Issac, of Muncy, and Holly Fletcher-Smith, wife of Henry, of Tampa, FL, and a brother, Randy Fletcher, and wife Karen, of Bedford.  He was preceded in death by three sons: Larry, Woody, and Craig Fletcher; three brothers: Kenneth, Dale, and William “Bink” Fletcher; and a sister, Coralee Daugherty.

Mr. Fletcher was a very self-sufficient man living on the mountain and off the land for many years. He was very efficient at fixing everything.  He was a member of the NRA, and enjoyed riding and braking horses. He was also very successful at hunting and ginseng hunting.
