Paul A. Wagoner

Paul A. Wagoner, 67, of Everett died on June 20, 2017, at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, in Baltimore, MD. He was born on January 27, 1950, in Cumberland, a son of the late John H. and Lois A. (Van Horn) Wagoner. On October 9, 1971 in Bedford he married Kathie (Faust) Wagoner who survives along with the following family: two daughters, Paula Emerick and husband Richie, of Schellsburg, Mandy Nave and husband Bryan, of Everett, a son, Tanner Wagoner and wife Kelly, of Everett; eight grandchildren: Jenna, Jamie, and Jeb Emerick, Andrew Nave and wife Lydia, Kayla Hetzel and husband Jeffrey, and Annie Nave,  Clay and Gavin Wagoner; two great grandchildren:  Allie and Blakeleigh; two brothers, John E. Wagoner and wife Nina of Fort Ashby, WV, and George W. Wagoner, of Clearville.

Paul graduated from Bedford High School in 1967.  He then served as a US Marine, E5 Sergeant in the Vietnam War from 1968-1969. He graduated from horse shoeing school in Texas in 1970. He was affiliated with the Bedford United Methodist Church and retired from UPS in 2010 and CART in May of 2017. The loves of his life, were his children and grandchildren. He attended their ball games, school events, helping the kids with their animals for 4H projects and anything else they were involved in.  He loved his horses, team roping, and helping his son.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He was always the life of the party, a great story teller, and hard worker. He was a proud member of the Chestnut Ridge Rod and Gun Club, and enjoyed snowmobiling with his son, and hunting.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, June 25, 2017, at 2:00 p.m., at the Bedford United Methodist Church, with Jim Miller officiating.  Burial at Ritchey Cemetery, with full military rites conducted by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.  Friends will be received on Saturday, from 2- 4 and 6 - 8 p.m., at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Sunday at the church. Arrangements by the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford.
