Louise Evelyn Smith, 89, of Manns Choice, died on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 12:45 a.m. at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital with her daughter by her side. She began a new chapter in Heaven on her husband’s birthday. She was born on October 4, 1927, in Defiance, a daughter of the late Charles Peter and Mary Elizabeth (Long) McCavitt. On November 9, 1968, in Bedford at the St. Thomas Catholic Church, she married Denny J. Smith who preceded her in death on June 12, 1995. She is survived by her only daughter, Mary Ann Smith of Manns Choice and her dog Annie Belle.  She was preceded in death by one sister, Genevieve M. McCavitt.

Louise was a member of the St. Thomas Catholic Church and worked for G.C. Murphy’s in Bedford for over 20 years. A few of her favorite things were watching Days of our Lives, working with her flowers, having yard sales, attending craft shows with her daughter, and collecting nick knack’s.  She was a loving mother who will be greatly missed. 

Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 19, 2017, at 10:00 a.m., at the St. Thomas Catholic Church, in Bedford, with Father Richard Tomkosky, celebrant.  Burial at St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery.  Visitation will be private.  Arrangements by the Timothy A.
