Larry Glen Buterbaugh 82, of Bedford, died Saturday, March 10, 2018 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital. He was born on July 24, 1935 in Johnstown, a son of the late Emory and Kathryn Louise (Kraft) Buterbaugh. On February 28, 1976 he married Dolores (Creps) Buterbaugh whom he was loving and devoted to. Along with his wife he is survived by two sisters: Carol L. Brown and husband Jerry of Lima, OH, and Sandra Baker and husband Larry of Carmichael; eight nieces and nephews and their families; and three sisters-in-law: Linda Hartsock, Miriam Howsare, and Eileen Davis, who played a big role in his life the past two years in his transition to living at Pennknoll Village. He was preceded in death by a brother Richard William Buterbaugh and a step-mother, Mona Grace (Dent) Buterbaugh.
Larry served in the Navy for a short time, and was a certified welder working in the Chambersburg area for a number of years. He enjoyed deer hunting and fishing with his dad and brother.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at 1:00 p.m., in the Chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Pastor Stanley Serafin officiating. Burial at Bedford County Memorial Park. Friends will be received on Tuesday, from 11:00 a.m., until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
