John E. Waugerman, 94, of Bedford, died on November 15, 2017, at Pennknoll Village Nursing Home. He was born on May 8, 1923, in Entriken, a son of the late John M. and Anna (Woomer) Waugerman. On July 25, 1947 in Bedford, he married Harriet S. (Watters) Waugerman who preceded him in death on February 22, 2009. He is survived by two sons: John C. Waugerman married to the former Abigail Miller, of Manns Choice, Robert M. Waugerman, of Schellsburg; one granddaughter,  Kelly Waugerman and companion Seth, of Cresaptown, MD; three step-grandchildren:  Tina Clark, of Bedford, Tonya Clark, of Philadelphia, and Robert Gale Clark and wife Julie of Schellsburg; one great grandchild:  Holden;  two step-great grandchildren:  Corey and Laura Clark; one sister Helen Foor widow of Sheldon, of Manns Choice; two brothers: Clair Waugerman, widow of Carolee, of Manns Choice, and Dave Waugerman and wife Teresa,  of Ridgeley, WV. He was preceded in death by a step-granddaughter, Dottie Clark and one brother, George Waugerman and wife Nancy, who survives of Osterburg.

John was a WWII Army Veteran who served during the European Theater. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and retired after 31 years with Auto Accessories in Bedford. He was a member of the Bedford Lodge #320 F&AM and the Schellsburg VFW Post # 4440. He enjoyed antique gas motors and most of all his grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 17, 2017, at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel, at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Pastor Raymond E. Short officiating.  Burial will be private. Full military rites will be conducted at the funeral home by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.  Friends will be received on Thursday, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home and 1 hour prior to the service on Friday.  Our online guest book is available at www.berkebilefuneralhome.com.
