Joe W. Critchfield 77, of Bedford, died Monday, June 19, 2017 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.  He was born on October 26, 1939 in Confluence, a son of the late Ambrose and Esther (Trimpey) Critchfield.  On August 5, 1967 he married Nancy (Croyle) Critchfield, who survives along with a daughter, Tracey Baumgardner wife of Mark, of Fishertown; two grandchildren: Cody and Erin Blackburn; and a brother, James Critchfield, of Breezewood.

Joe was a member of the Bedford Lodge #320 F&AM and the Harrisburg Consistory.  He owned and operated his own tractor trailer for over 30 years under the CB handle “Dutchboy”.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 in the Chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Bedford Lodge #320 F&AM officiating the service at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will be held private.  Friends will be received on Wednesday, from 9:00 a.m., until the hour of the service at the funeral home.  Our online guestbook is available at www.berkebilefuneralhome.com
