Anna T. O'Brien, 87, of Bedford, died on June 1, 2017 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.  She was born on March 21, 1930, in New Baltimore, a daughter of the late Joseph L. and Olive M. (Schaab) O'Brien. She is survived by a son, Tom O'Brien married to the former Mary Jo James of Bedford, one granddaughter, Becky Smith and husband Brad, of Mt. Lebanon; two great granddaughters, Alaina and Caitlin; a brother, Harold O'Brien widower of Mary, of Warnersville; a sister, Margaret Hillegas widow of Franklin, of Buffalo Mills; a sister, Rita Folton widow of Robert, of Bedford; and a brother, Francis O'Brien and wife Thelma, of Everett.  She was preceded in death by six sisters:  infant Helen, Mary Imgrund, Rose Fochtman, Irene O’Brien, Theresa Drenning, and Evelyn Fletcher; three brothers:  Leo, Robert, and Gerald O’Brien.

Anna was a member of the St. Thomas Catholic Church and worked as a Housekeeper for the Hotel Pennsylvania and prior to that many years with the Jack and Vivian Henderson family.  She enjoyed gardening, calling bingo for the residents at the Hotel Pennsylvania and most importantly spending time with her family.

Funeral Mass will be held on, Monday, June 5, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Thomas Catholic Church, in Bedford with Father Richard Tomkosky Celebrant.  Burial will follow at St. Johns’s the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, in New Baltimore.   Friends will be received on Monday, at the Timothy A.
