Alice Pearl “Polly” Nave 74, of Cumberland Valley, died Thursday, March 15, 2018 at her daughter’s residence. She was born on March 30, 1943 in Everett, a daughter of the late William H. and M. Alberta (Zembower) Rose. She is survived by a daughter Theresa Kline and husband Kevin of Cumberland Valley; three grandchildren: Jesse Middle and wife Celeste, of Oldtown, MD, Walker and Cage Kline, of Cumberland Valley; two great-grandchildren: Paisley and Hank Middle; two sisters: Laverne Bridges of Bedford, and Martina Elliott, of Cumberland Valley; one brother, Murray Rose and wife Kathy of Cumberland, MD. She was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey W. Nave, a brother, L. Sonny Rose widow Maxine surviving of Cumberland Valley; and a sister, F. Lucille Elliott.
Polly worked at the Commercial Press Printing Company in Cumberland, MD, and Cannondale in Bedford. She was a member of the Bedford Valley Assembly of God Church, the Cumberland Valley Senior Citizens Center, and also served on the Cumberland Valley Rec Council for 40 years. Polly enjoyed tending her garden, planting flowers, and feeding the birds. She loved to bowl and play cards with family and friends. She also enjoyed pitching in softball games, going on family vacations and putting together puzzles.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 11:00 a.m., at the Bedford Valley Assembly of God Church with Pastor Harold VanDine officiating. Burial at Union Cemetery. Friends will be received on Friday, from 4-8 p.m., at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the Church.
